Visitor Information - Marco Island Florida
A visitor to our "tropical paradise" expressed her view of Marco Island by writing the following... "PARADISE" Webster must have been thinking of Marco Island when the word paradise was conceived. Like children, the waves play along the shoreline, Tagging the feet that intrudes on its fun. Against a morning sun, a seagull comes into view. And with the gentleness of a child, seems to kiss the waves As he searches for food. A balmy breeze blows through this lush, tropical garden And as if on command... The island flowers begin to dance... The birds begin to sing... Paradise is born.
Marco Island is the largest of the Ten Thousand Islands, measuring about 24 square miles. The highest elevation in S.W. Florida is right here on Marco - at Indian Hill, we are 51 feet above sea level.
Marco Island provides for some of the best boating, fishing, and shelling opportunities that you'll ever find. As a result of our recently renourished beaches, we are truly known for our island/tropical beauty. We have wonderful shopping on the island with a real flair for customer service. We have some of the best restaurants in Collier County - and certainly great seafood! The remarkable history and maintained ambience of Marco Island make this one of the most sought-after destination locations.
